Spring Flowers

With any luck, the spring flowers are coming up in your neighborhood.  Unfortunately, I don't have any in my yard - didn't get bulbs planted last fall, but the neighbors have them...You can bet I'll get them planted this fall!

My Time To Craft wants to see those spring flowers - tulips, daffodils, crocuses - you decide.  I went with a whimsical pot of tulips:
The tulips and leaves were cut with my Cricut and glued to a piece of cardstock that slides in the pot.
This pic shows how the card pulls out of the pot.

So, what is your favorite Spring flower?  I hope you'll let us know by creating something and sharing it with us at My Time To Craft.

Have a great weekend!

April Showers Bring...

How appropriate, since, as I am writing this, we are getting some rain.  We planted some grass seed the other day, so the rain is welcome!  Yesterday was a sunny day and I was able to get some painting projects done.  Stop by The Apple Street Cottage later this week to see what I've been up to - that's my other blog where I share renovations at the cottage, as well as, all of my DIY projects.

On to the challenge from My Time To Craft...
I decided to make my umbrella 'front and center', but it can be anywhere on your creation.  As you can see, my Cuttlebug got a workout with the backgrounds.  The umbrella was made with circle punches and the handle?  A candy cane from one of my Cricut cartridges.

Please stop by My Time To Craft to see what the rest of the Design Team has created, then, join us, won't you?

Have a great weekend!

It's a Sketch!

It's been a rainy week here, April Showers, I guess, but I'm ready for some sun and warmer temperatures!  How about you?

This week at My Time To Craft there is sketch to guide you:

Here's what I did with it:

The sentiment is one of the first stamps I ever purchased and I've always loved it.  I surrounded it with some beautiful paper, buttons, and some bling.  Please stop by My Time To Craft to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  You will be inspired!

Have a great weekend - hope it's warm and sunny!

Get Krafty!

Welcome back!  The temperature is (finally) starting to rise, the snow is melting, and my seeds are growing like crazy!!  This week at My Time To Craft, we want to see your Kraft projects.  That's right, use Kraft paper somewhere on your project.

I had this Kraft container just waiting for me to do something with it:

I used a background stamp to add some interest to the container and added some Kraft trim to the bottom edge.  I actually rolled the container across the inked stamp.  A lace flower was attached with a sparkle flourish, along with the lace trim around the top edge.
To dress up the top, I cut a flower on my Cricut (Art Philosophy) along with a few leaves.  After attaching the flower, I sponged some ink on the leaves and attached them.  Here's a closer look:

The only thing left to do is fill it with some treats and give it as a gift!

Please stop by My Time To Craft for some inspiration from the rest of the Design Team. We hope you'll join us in this challenge.  Have a wonderful weekend!
