O, Christmas Tree, O, Christmas Tree...

I can't believe Christmas is almost here.  We've been sick around here with a nasty headcold that really put me behind with all the holiday preparation.  Fortunately, we are feeling better and I have a great little gift idea for you!

My friend, Brenda, from Qbee's Quest, gave me permission to share this creation with you.  She developed it and I think it is awesome!
Adorable, right?  Perfect little gift for a co-worker, neighbor, stocking-stuffer...I could go on!  I made several and they took no time at all to finish.  I'm not posting the tutorial here, since Brenda has it on her blog.  Visit her here for directions to make your own.

You also need to visit the rest of the Design Team at My Time To Craft to see their beautiful Christmas Tree Creations.  This will be our last challenge for 2014.  We'll be back on January 3rd with something new!

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Make a Scene!

Welcome back, Everyone.  I hope all is well in your part of the world.  I am STILL trying to get healthy.  I thought I had it beat at the beginning of the week, and then I just felt rotten all over again.  Hopefully, this is the end of it!
It's a good thing I "worked ahead" on my DT projects, otherwise, I'm not sure I would be ready for this week's challenge.
Here is my scene:

I made the background by inking my acrylic block with 2 stamp pads, then I sprayed the block with water, stamped it on cardstock and I had an instant background!  I decided to go for more of a silhouette look using black ink.  The flowers were stamped in first and second generation.
Please stop over to My Time To Craft to see what the rest of the DT has created - they are such a talented group.  Then create something for us - we love visiting blogs!

Have a great weekend!

Christmas ATC

It's December and I've finally started papercrafting again!  We made the big move and the Craft Room is finally unpacked!  I'm still working on finding where I put everything, but, at least everything is out of the boxes!

The DT at My Time To Craft is challenging you to make a Christmas ATC.  Here's mine:
After distressing the edges, I put the cardstock under the faucet to get it good and wet.  Then I crumpled it up, crumpled it a few more times, smoothed it out, and set it aside to dry.  The background was stamped and the edges inked.  "Merry Christmas" was stamped, two holly leaves were cut out and inked, then a red sparkle waas added. Done!

If you don't know what an ATC is, let me help you out.  Artist Trading Cards are 2.5" X 3.5" in size and you choose the medium to express yourself.  Show your style and don't forget to put your information on the back.   ATC are made to be shared/traded, so people usually make lots.  Give it a try and share your ATC with us at My Time To Craft!
