Beary Nice!

This week just flew by - I can't believe it's time for another challenge at My Time To Craft!  Beary Nice is the theme, you have to have a bear on your creation.  I got out my Cricut again and created this:
I'm pretty sure I know someone who is having a baby girl!

Now, how about you?  Are you ready to share your bear?  We'd love to see it at My Time To Craft.  Be sure to stop by to see what the rest of the Design Team has created to inspire you!

I hope you have some fun planned for this weekend - I'm hoping for some quality time in my craft room!

Mother's Day

This week's challenge at My Time To Craft is Mother's Day.  I decided to step away from making a card this time.

I got out my Cricut Artiste cartridge and made this little purse to hold a gift card.  After stamping it tone-on tone with a background stamp, I embellished it with a few flowers and some Baker's Twine.  The tag was attached with a little more Baker's Twine - and it was done!

Be sure to stop by the My Time To Craft blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created. We hope you'll be inspired to create something of your own!

I can't believe it's been a week and we are on to a new challenge!  I went back to work this week and it was challenging.  My first day back I had to sub in a kindergarten classroom - not how I envisioned my first day back.  Needless to say,  my knee was talking to me after that day!  The second day, I was assigned luch duty - during my lunch/prep.  I had a serious conversation about being compensated for it - prep time added on.  Since I'm an interventionist, there was some flexibility!

But enough about me - Let's take a look at this week's challenge at My Time To Craft:

Be sure to add a charm to your project - and be sure to share it with us!  Those are the requirements!  LOL

Have I mentioned that I'm REALLY happy the weekend is here????

Frame It!

That's it, plain and simple.  Be sure to use a frame.  This is a good time to get out those die cuts or chipboard!
I used a chipboard frame and covered it with paper.  The rest of the card was made with the Laughing Lola (X7170B) papers and one of the new stamp sets, Funky Blossoms (B1452), both from Close To My Heart.

I just sent this card to a friend who was recently in the hospital.  I thought the bright colors would cheer her up!

Be sure to take a look at the My Time To Craft site to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  We'd love it if you joined us this week!

This Warms My Heart

This post is LONG overdue!  My apologies to Charity and boys ministry group.  Here is their story...

Last October, a very sweet lady named Charity contacted me.  She explained that she was in charge of a boys ministry group.  The boys from her church were working on a missionary project for a family in Yugoslavia and were looking for things to create and sell at a craft fair to benefit this family.  They came across my blog and saw some cupcake ornaments that I had made for Christmas.

The boys asked her to contact me for permission to use my project. (Do you feel your heart swelling?)  Of course I said, "Yes"!  I then asked her if I could tell their story in a blog post.  She agreed and promised to send me some photos.

Fast forward to January.  Charity contacted me again informing me that the boys had a successful craft fair.  The cupcake ornaments were a hit and they raised $225.

I have never met these boys and I am so proud of them!  Here are some photos of their ornaments:

Aren't they FABULOUS??????

I always knew the internet is a very powerful resource.  I guess I didn't realize how my little corner of the blogging world can have such an effect on people so far away.  I am inspired by these boys and am proud to have given them a little inspiration to do so much good.

I hope this story warmed your heart as much as it did mine.
Have a great week!

Cats & Dogs

It's hard to believe March is already here, and from what I can tell, it's coming in like a lion!  I hope you're staying warm and cozy in your part of the world.
This week at My Time To Craft the challenge is Cats and/or Dogs.  Believe it or not, I had nothing in my stash for this challenge.  Fortunately, Cricut did so I made a card for a little girl.
It reminds me of Hello Kitty!
Be sure to hop on over to My Time To Craft to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for you.  We'll be looking for your creation.

Have a great weekend!
