Frosted Designs Card Sketch #2

It's that time again!  Time for Sketch #2 at Frosted Designs.  This one is a beauty designed by Diana.  Here's what I did with it:

Everything on this card (except the ribbon) is from Close To My Heart®.  The stamp set is C1463 Harvest Happiness and the images were cut out using our new Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge.

On to the sketch:

Let's see what you can do with it!  There's a fabulous prize from Squigglefly.  Head over to Frosted Designs for all of the details!  You have until October 9th to link your card.

My friend Becky, over at Scrappin Backy B gave me this wonderful Blog Award.  I've been so busy, that I'm just getting to it!  Here are the questions that I must answer to accept the award:
Q1) Name your favorite color? Blue
Q2) Name your favorite song? You Get What You Give by The New Radicals
Q3) Name your favorite dessert? Anything chocolate!
Q4) What annoys you at the moment?  Stupid people - Is that too harsh?!

Q6) Black or White?  Black
 Q7) Your biggest fear?  Cancer
Q8) Best Feature?  Eyes
Q9) Everyday attitude?  Usually positive

Just a Quick Birthday Card

I used some bright colors and D1336 Cupcake Sprinkles.  The B&T paper and the sentiment are both retired, but still do the trick!  I think that this card proves that you don't need anything too fancy to put together a great card!
I think I'll share it at Make It Monday!

Frosted Designs First Card Sketch Challenge!

I'm SO EXCITED!  It's finally time for the first Card Sketch Challenge at Frosted Designs!  As the coordinator of this challenge, I've put together an amazing Design Team that has absolutely out-done themselves.  Wait 'till you see their work!

I decided to go with a Halloween theme, since I've been seeing "Halloween" in stores since July!
Yes, you guessed right, lots of Close To My Heart® products!  The flowers are from our new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, the spiders and webs - C1462 All Hallows Eve, along with papers and sparkles.
I'm sure your asking yourself about the sketch.  Here it is:
Now head over to Frosted Designs to see what the Design Team has in store for you and then create a card of your own.  You have until Sunday, September 25th to link it up.  Add a post here, so I can be sure to see your artwork.
Thanks for joining us and Happy Creating!

September 11th - Ten Years Later

Father Mychal Judge was a Franciscan Friar. At the age of 68 he was killed by debis during the World Trade Center attack. He was in the North Tower. He was one of the first victims of the attack and the image of his body being carried out of the rubble became one of the most famous images related to 9/11. Father Mychal was known as the "Fireman's Friar". His story touched me deeply when I first heard it. Here is a prayer he carried in his pocket. It is affectionately known to fireman as Mychal's Prayer:

Lord, take me where You want me to go;
Let me meet who You want me to meet;
Tell me what You want me to say, and
Keep me out of Your way.

God bless Father Mychal and all of the victims of 9/11.
Never Forget.

Are You Still There?

Soon you'll be calling me "The Neglectful Blogger"!  It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me.  Now, I know you've heard this before, but I do have a good reason.  Are you ready?  I've been REALLY busy!  REALLY, I have!!!
Since my August 21st post, these events have occurred:  My husband's birthday, structural inspection of the house we're buying, (did I mention that we're buying a house?), loan application that included lots of scanning, faxing, e-mailing, etc., school started, my birthday, termite inspection, lots of details to take care of for the new Card Challenge that will be starting at Frosted Designs, and did I mention school started and we're buying a house?!?!
Oh, and one thing I forgot - Tuesday is our 25th Wedding Anniversary!  If anyone has a good ideas for a present for my hubby, I'd appreciate it!
So, I finally got into my crafty stuff and created this card:
It uses some of my older Close To My Heart stuff, but I just LOVE this stamp set.  As far as I'm concerned, sunflowers are the one flower that carry me from summer to fall.  I love them!  I'm entering this card in the Clean and Simple  FTL156 Challenge.  I'm also sharing it at Make It Monday!
I'm so glad you stopped by!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow.  I have a fantastic post for you.  You won't want to miss it!
