Friday and the Painter

I went to work on Friday fully prepared for a full day.  You see, I had to check-in the Literacy materials of the classroom teachers.  Next week is our last week of school.  When I opened my office door, I discovered that the painter had been working the night before.  He had removed everything from the walls and placed the items on my desk, my table, my bookcases - you get the picture!  In addition, the bookcases were moved out from the walls.  Needless to say, the room was a mess!

I decided that this was a subtle hint to vacate the office.  I was planning to move to my new office next week after all of the "Check-In" was complete. but I feared what would happen next!  One of our aides had some extra time and she helped me, or should I say, did most of the work! I owe Michelle lunch!   Every time I got started, a new batch of teachers had their prep time and were at the Literacy Room (which was moved last week) ready to check-in their materials.  Now, it truly was NOT their fault, since I scheduled the day and time for them, but it made moving quite difficult.

We managed to get about half of the office moved.  All but two teachers have seen me to check-in their materials, and now I need to make a list of what items are missing and need to be replaced.  I'm really glad Friday is over.

I think I'll finish everything on Monday.  Or, move to Australia!!!

The Haircut

My camera is up and running again and my husband took this photo of my new hairstyle.  So far, everyone likes it.  My hairdresser says I look younger - Man , I love her!
For those of you who don't know me personally, it wasn't long ago that my hair was below my shoulders.  I cut it to "just above my shoulders' and now this!  I think I'll stick with this style - until I get bored again! LOL

Moved & Unpacked!

Well it's Sunday night and it has been an eventful few weeks.  We are moved and just about everything is unpacked.  I even managed to squeeze in a haircut and a few garage sales.  Unfortunately, the battery in my camera died , so I can't show you anything!  So, until the new battery that I ordered on-line arrives, here are the updates:

  • I cut my hair - short!  My hairdresser had a ball with it!
  • I found an old Royal typewriter at a garage sale.  Years ago I passed one up at a garage sale and I always regretted it!
  • I also found a great mirror.  I'm planning to change it's look, but it will be great!
  • I've collected 2 golf balls in the back yard - did I mention that we are on a golf course?  I'm a little worried about some of the golfer's abilities!!!!
Stay tuned.  The battery should be here soon and I'l have lots more to share.
Have a great week!

ABC Challenge - Anything But a Card

OK, it's been awhile, but I've been moving!!!!  I made this awhile ago and since my crafting "stuff" is not unpacked, I'm using this little house for the Heart2Heart Challenge:

It started out like this:

Here's one more view:

I used Silhouette Papers, Black and Cranberry ink, D1377 Around the Block - all from Close To My Heart®.  A heart punch helped to decorate the roof, along with some chunky glitter.  This was such a fun project!
Thanks for looking!
